When you install a toilet, its outlet is not always perfect for the hole in the sewer system. This is often observed when using toilets with a straight or vertical mouth. To eliminate these discrepancies, you can replace the sewer pipe with a more suitable one, but it is very difficult and not cheap. The best option in this situation is to use sewer cuffs and drains.

The sanitary cuff is most often a cylindrical product and is used to connect the toilet drain to the pipe of the sewer system. Cuffs are in two types - eccentric and corrugated.

The eccentric cuff for the toilet is a combination of nozzles connected to each other with an offset. The centers of the two parts are in different planes. An important point is that the eccentric cuff for the toilet is equipped with o-rings. This is its undeniable advantage, since, performing installation work, you can do without sealant.

Despite the fact that there are many varieties of eccentric cuffs, in practice there are situations when the use of this type of cuff is impossible due to too much displacement of the connected elements. In this situation, the use of corrugation will be relevant. Its flexible corrugated sleeve allows for displacement. At the same time, large angles must be avoided so that the drains pass freely, otherwise we will not block the clog. Popular materials for their manufacture are polypropylene and polyethylene.

When you are choosing the required cuff, it is necessary to take into account the diameter of the product, its length, as well as whether this model is eccentric. If everything is clear with the diameter initially, then the necessary length must be measured in advance so that the installed toilet does not stand too far. If you do not have enough cuff length, then this can be fixed by installing an additional part - drain.

Simplicity of installation, long service life and low price are indisputable advantages for using polypropylene cuffs in plumbing works.
